The sleep system built by science. Brought to life by a family.

Clinically grounded · NHS GP co-created · Evidence-based

Heidi Mackin built SoundSleeper because most sleep products only mask the problem. She asked her father - Dr James Mackin, a practising NHS GP with over 20 years in family medicine - for help. He didn't write a top-ten list of sleep tips. He wrote a full clinical guide. Then they recorded the relaxation script together.

That's what's inside every SoundSleeper product.

A white SoundSleep alarm clock with a digital display showing 07:18, temperature 23°C, and humidity 50%. It has buttons for light, sound, snooze, and volume control, along with additional feature icons.
A moonlit night scene with a large, glowing moon reflected on the water. The sky has scattered clouds and stars. Text overlays include 'Relax • Restore • Rise' at the top, 'SoundSleeper' in the middle, and 'Restore Your Sleep — Dr James Mackin' at the bottom.

The Story

A DAUGHTER'S IDEA. A FATHER'S EXPERTISE.

Heidi asked her dad for sleep tips. He wrote a clinical guide instead.

Heidi Mackin was building a white noise machine and wanted something genuinely useful to bundle with it. So she asked her father - Dr James Mackin, a practising NHS GP - for a simple top-ten sleep list.

He came back with a full, evidence-based clinical guide.

Heidi redesigned the machine around it. They recorded the relaxation script together - her voice for the female track, his for the male - so it plays directly from the device.
